The H.264-HD Series of Development Boards utilizes the MCM-1000A CODEC module that is a small-size, low-power circuit board, based on SOC high-performance CODEC IP cores and low-cost Xilinx Artix-7 FPGA. The dimensions of the module are 2.0” x 2.7”. It supports MPEG-2 and H.264 MPEG standards. It can be flexibly configured to either an encoder or a decoder, supporting up to 1080p/60. The module can also be customized to support multiple channels, such as 2-channel 1080p/30 or 4-channel 720p/30 or more, as long as the aggregate bandwidth is equivalent to 1080p/60. Audio is also supported via DSP. The MCM-1000A module has standard DDR3 204-edge pins layout, which plugs into a standard DDR3 SODIMM connector. Users can connect this module to their product PCB via an off-the-shelf DDR3 connector.
