In the previous example, the mapped boundaries for the pull-in and drop-out are clearly shown. Also, it becomes clear just how important three dimensional viewing is. As this slide shows, in the frontal view, everything looked fine. However, upon moving to the side view it became clear that the misalignment of the magnet and reed sensor would affect the operate and release points of the reed sensor. So as shown in this example, how the three dimensional pull-in and drop-out boundaries can play an important part for proper design and optimal parameter functioning.
