Stackpole developed the SP3A in response to a growing requirement for a robust wirewound resistor series which fails safely. Many of the requirements of UL1412 are being used by design engineers in many different market segments for a variety of end products. The SP3A UL recognized resistor makes obtaining UL qualification for the customers’ end product much simpler.
