The name or term “Beluga” was derived from the Great White Whale because of the enclosures deep belly for holding components. Due to its unique shape and design, the internal dimensions of the Beluga are much larger and deeper than most handheld type enclosures. The Beluga is also known as Series “BG” on the DigiKey website.
