Thermal Resistance For Heat Emission/Radiation

Thermal resistance due to emission or radiation is the reciprocal of the product of the radiative heat transfer coefficient and the surface area of the heat-emitting body. From the equation, it is seen that the thermal resistance of emission or radiation is affected by the surface area, temperature, and emissivity of the object. To decrease the thermal resistance: increase the surface area of the object or select material with a high emissivity.
