The AD converter on the RL78 devices provides a conversion time down to 2.2µS. This is selectable depending on the supply voltage where, for lower supply voltages, the conversion time will be increased depending on the range of the supply voltage selection. A key feature of RL78 products is the operating voltage range down to 1.6V, so that even if the supply voltage is only 1.6V and the reference voltage is 1.6V the AD converter can still be used. The internal reference is set to 1.44V and can be used as a reference to the input pin or as a global reference for the whole AD converter. Additionally, there is an integrated temperature sensor.
