Tact Switches Slide 3

All tact switches contain two basic elements, a moving contact and a stationary contact plate. When the switch is actuated, these two elements come into contact with each other and the circuit turns on. The distinctive tactile feedback, an audible click, is generated when the switch is actuated, by using a dome-shape moving contact or rubber cover. The value of operating force depends on the concavity of the dome.
