Ideal applications for the OLSON SX include those that require directional light or have a sharp optical cut-off. Because of the narrow 60° viewing angle, the OSLON SX works well in optical systems that require a narrow beam angle and feature a small aperture for optimal coupling to secondary optics. Due to the compact nature of the package, it is also recommended for any application that needs compact LED clustering. The common footprint for the OSLON family allows interchangeability. A common board design can be leveraged for end products available in multiple power levels using the OSLON SX and OSLON SSL LEDs. If a common board design is leveraged, keep in mind that the thermal system will need to be reviewed and adjusted for any power and thermal differences.
