60V-Telecom-Slide2

Cooling fans in telecommunications equipment typically operate at 48 VDC. However, in situations when cooling fans are operating in battery backup mode, they can see much higher sustained voltages. Continually running these lower voltage fans at higher voltages can cause two major issues. The first is excessive heat build-up in the equipment, possibly causing damage. The second is premature failure of the cooling fans, leading to more frequent replacement. Orion Fans 60V Telecom Fans are built to accept these higher voltages without sustaining any damage.
