The relay and corresponding socket are rated for standard voltages within the industry. A 12 volt DC rated relay and socket combination uses a relay coil that is wound for 11 volts DC. This is due to voltage drops across the LED and diodes inside of the socket. This is why the coil voltage printed on the socket does not match the one printed on the relay itself.
