NXP offers the designer development tool value in several ways. The hardware development tools that make up NXP’s development kits are an ideal out of the box experience for those just starting a wireless network design and those who have experience designing wireless networks. The hardware and software are easy to use and allow the engineer to immediately start their design with the BeeKit radio/transceiver GUI-based set up software. For developing the microcontroller (MCU) side of a network application, NXP offers IDEs (Integrated Development Environment) to support each series of products. These include the CodeWarrior for HSC08 and the IAR EWARM for ARM. BeeKit and the MCU IDEs work in a complementary fashion to support the complete network design, radio and MCU. The idea of a consistent hardware set and software tool chain allows engineers to build on their foundation design environment knowledge whether they are doing one or several network projects. Designers can depend on NXP’s development tool ecosystem for a quick start, easy to use tools, and a fast time to market solution.
