Charge injection (C_GD) is the energy that enters the switch from the external signal. This energy can be stored as charge inside the device, which can impact the output signal or even create spikes on the signal. There are analog switches specifically made with additional circuitry to minimize this current injection, which will be looked at in the application section of this module.
