In summary, Neonode's touch sensor module is an IR laser based touch sensor module that can be integrated and used in various applications. The touch sensor module characteristics are high scanning frequency and stability requiring no calibration, low latency, and the fact that it can be used on any display or any surface. The touch sensors module detect and trace objects by detecting diffusely reflected infrared light. The touch sensor module comprises an optical system arranged to combine emitted IR beams and received IR light fields of view within the same apertures. An object present in the active area will affect several emitter-receiver channels, and the reported x/y coordinates is the outcome of a center of gravity calculation on these signals. The Neonode touch sensor module can be connected to the host system through a standard connector and communicate through a standard I²C or USB HID profile interface. The touch sensor modules are currently available in nine lengths and two types, ranging from 115 mm to 346 mm and support display sizes up to 15.6 inches.
