As many developers are no doubt aware, attention to EMI compliance is not only good engineering, it’s also “the law”. In the creation of electronic equipment designs which fall under the requirements of F.C.C. Part 15 and Part 68 rules, engineers frequently need to solve all manner of EMI problems in the most timely and economical manner. This typically involves the use of ferrite beads, which are by far the most widely used EMI suppression component, for two fundamental reasons: they are (1.) inexpensive and (2.) easy to use.
