The defining characteristic of the Perma-Seal™ product line is the low heat shrink temperature. This feature prevents damage to the wire’s insulation which typically has a temperature rating of 105°C for PVC and 125°C for PE. Perma-Seal’s™ NiAc™ material only requires a temperature of 90°C to shrink whereas Nylon requires 180°C, and Polyolefin requires 105°C potentially exceeding the temperature rating of the wire’s insulation. The reduced heating time not only maintains the wire insulation life span, but also saves labor by shrinking 40% faster than Nylon.
