iPass is inherently a cable-to-board system intended for high-speed and high-density applications. There are options for both internal (meaning inside of a box) as well as external applications, meaning as an I/O. The basics of the system are: a 0.8mm pitch SMT card edge host connector that is used for both internal and external applications, unique internal and external guide frames which locate and provide latch points for the mating cable plugs, and unique appropriately shielded cable assemblies are offered for both internal and external applications. Also in our roadmap are stacked versions of the system known as iPass, and panel-mounted cable solutions. Both are highlighted on the right side of this slide.
