perf and fast
Microchip’s 16-bit PIC microcontroller and dsPIC digital signal controller families deliver the performance with integrated core independent peripherals and help in achieving faster time to market with software and hardware development tools. The PIC24F family offers a cost-effective, low-power step up in performance, memory and peripherals for many applications that are pushing the envelope of 8-bit microcontroller capabilities. The PIC24F family features devices with eXtreme Low Power (XLP) technology, 16 MIPS performance, rich analog integration and drivers for segmented or graphical displays. The dsPIC® family of Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) include a fully implemented Digital Signal Processor (DSP) engine for enhanced math capabilities to execute and control high-speed precision digital control loops with the simplicity of a traditional microcontroller. Microchip’s dsPIC DSCs achieve up to 70 MIPS performance and includes features for functional safety, operation up to 150°C and support for both 3 V and 5 V applications targeting high-efficiency motor control, digital power supplies and other embedded control applications. The MPLAB development environment, a single tool chain supporting all PIC MCUs and dsPIC DSCs together with a range of development boards and software libraries simplifies evaluation, prototyping, design and development. MPLAB Code Configurator facilitates easy peripheral set-up, reducing overall development time.
