This illustrates the basic operation of the KMT32B. A rotating magnetic field on a surface parallel to the two Wheatstone bridges (x-y plane) will deliver two independent sinusoidal output signals, one following a cos(2α) and the second following a sin(2α) function where “α” is the angle between the sensor and field direction (see Figure 2). With this data, both the angle of the magnet and the linear position can be determined.
