The MAX14878 to 14880 are 2.75kV and 5kV isolated CAN transceivers. Not only is the 5kV of isolation integrated, but so is the fault protection of ±54V. A high level of ESD, at ±15kV, human body model is also included for even more robust performance. These features mean that Analog Devices has high fault protection and high isolation to ensure robust communications. Although not related to additional robustness, the supply of 1.75V to 5.5V on the V_DDA side and 3V to 5V on the V_DDB side allows system designers flexibility to use these products with different supply voltages. There are two different supplier standards for the pinout and this product family supports both standards. These products can be used in industrial environments, including motion controllers, field bus networks, industrial control systems, and also backplane buses.
