The LUXEON 5258 blurs the line between midpower and Chip on Board (CoB) products. It has the light output of a compact CoB, with a 5mm LES, smaller form factor, and lower cost architecture. It enables lower overall system costs versus midpower products in small lamps and it delivers high flux and efficacy in a single emitter to avoid the unpleasant “showerhead” aesthetic of lamps and fixtures that use multiple midpower LEDs.
