LEDs come in a wide range of colors including red, orange, amber, yellow, green, blue and various shades of white. In addition to these standard colors, newer colors are emerging into the marketplace, including such colors as pink, purple and turquoise. The semiconductor chip material within an LED is what determines the color of an LED, not the external epoxy body packaging. LEDs packaged in clear or milky white epoxy casing are able to light in any available color.
