Immunity to noise depends on bandwidth and the frequency accuracy of the transmitter. The more accurate a signal’s frequency and the narrower a signal’s bandwidth, the narrower the receiver’s front-end filter can be. A narrow filter on the receiver limits the amount of noise that can enter the system. This gives the receiver better sensitivity and better range.
