LT3029-Slide3

The LT3029’s key features and benefits include a wide adjustable output voltage of 1.215V to 19.5V and a wide input voltage range of 1.8V to 20V which is suited for a wide variety of end markets and applications. The device’s low quiescent current of only 55µA per channel allows battery run time to be conserved in portable applications. The device also has an output voltage noise of only 20µVRMS over the 10Hz to 100KHz bandwidth. This makes it a good choice for applications with noise-sensitive rails such as those in RF or audio systems. The LT3029’s low dropout voltage of only 300mV, enables efficient low-VIN to low-VOUT conversion. Additionally, the device has a very high output voltage accuracy of ±2% over line, load and temperature, which is ideal for systems that require high tolerance. Furthermore, the LT3029 is stable with only a 3.3µF ceramic output cap, which offers flexibility, plus saves cost and board space. As for protection, this device offers reverse battery, reverse current, current limiting with foldback, and thermal limiting features. Finally, the LT3029 is housed in two compact and thermally efficient packages; a 4mm x 3mm 16-lead DFN and a 16-lead MSOP. These packages provide great thermal performance and a small footprint, much smaller than competing solutions.
