The LT3022 extends Linear’s very low dropout or "VLDO" family from 7 to 8 ICs. A VLDO regulator may be defined in two ways: first, it has a typical 25°C dropout voltage of <200mV, and second, a low ranging input voltage, typically sub-1V minimum. The LT3022 is a 1A device featuring input voltage capability down to 0.9V and adjustable output voltage down to 0.2V. It has a low dropout of 145mV typical at full load and only 285mV across line, load and temperature, making it ideal for high efficiency, low-voltage, low dropout conversion. Its PNP architecture allows single-supply operation with bulletproof protection features. The device is housed in a small footprint, thermally enhanced 5mm x 3mm 16-Lead DFN and 16-Lead MSOP packages.
