The LTC3874 can be compared to the LTC3870, LTC3875 and LTC3774. The LTC3870 is another LTC slave controller that is meant to be used with Digital Power System Management Devices. It has a higher input and output voltage capability, but cannot be used with sub-mΩ DCR inductors. The LTC3874 also has a tighter current sense offset accuracy, resulting in a tight current mismatch between phases when paralleled. The LTC3875 and LTC3774 are full-featured step-down controllers that can be used to extend the phase count, but have features that will not be used when designed in as a slave controller.
