LTC3769-Slide9

In summary, the Linear Technology LTC3769 is a synchronous boost controller in which a high efficiency N-channel MOSFET replaces the boost diode. This results in efficiency increases and higher maximum output current capability. The LTC3769 controller can produce an output of up to 5A at 24V from a 12V input, with up to 98% efficiency. It operates over a 4.5V to 60V input voltage range during start-up, and can maintain operation down to 2.3VIN after start-up. The device can regulate an output as high as 60V. Featuring a low, 28µA, quiescent current can extend run time in battery powered applications. The low 28µA quiescent current helps extend the run-time in battery powered applications, the LTC3769 keeps the synchronous MOSFET continuously ON, allowing the output voltage to follow the input voltage. Current-mode architecture enables a selectable frequency range of 50kHz to 900kHz, or the device can be synchronized to an external clock.
