Shown on this slide is a comparison between generation one HG1 and the generation two HG2 ASICs. Some of the advantages are: the reference out voltage has more flexibility, the reference input voltage can be pulled lower with the HG2 giving even more dynamic range for unidirectional measurement applications, the response time is 2.5x better, offset drift and gain drift are roughly half, and noise density is approximately 25% less.
