KEMET power inductors utilize two different coil technologies. One is flat wire and other is round wire. Flat wire offers higher current capability than round wire, but round wire offers higher inductance. The MPC, MPCH and MPCG series utilize flat wire while round wire is used in the MPLC, MPLCH and MPLCG series.
