The FH12 connector consists of a rotating actuator, insulator body (or housing), contacts, and solder brackets for additional retention. When fully closed, the rotating actuator activates the contact’s force against the inserted FPC/FFC, making a secure electrical/mechanical connection. The insulator body holds the contacts at a specific spacing, known as pitch. The contacts provide an electrical path between the inserted FPC/FFC and PCB, and the solder brackets provide connector stability to the PCB. The connector comes assembled and ready to be soldered to the PCB and have the flex circuit inserted.
