There are many advantages and features of the har-flex product family. For board mount connectors, male and female connectors with even pin counts from 6 to 100 contacts are available. This flexibility in the choice of number of contacts, combined with high density contact spacing, allow the designer to maximize the use of PCB real estate, thereby achieving overall space savings and cost efficiencies. har-flex has a range of stacking heights of 8 to 20 mm. Through-hole fixing variants provide an extra assurance of stability with THR using soldering studs for applications that expose PCBs to high mechanical stress. This takes the security of the SMT contacts to an even higher level, addressing applications where concerns over stress on the contacts demands that a through hole fixing feature is preferred.
