OmniOn Power's Barracuda series of fully regulated isolated bus converters is available in both the 5-pin standard and digital versions with solutions ranging from 240 to 400 W. The modules offer PMBus digital configuration, communication, and control. The series offers full regulation, a wide input range, and good thermal performance. Standard module features include on/off control, output over current and over voltage protection, over temperature protection, input under and over voltage lockout. The EBVW, 1/8 brick, and QBVW, 1/4 brick, are based on the digital design allowing for a fully regulated control topology with noted improvements in efficiency and thermal de-rating when compared to existing semi-regulated products. The modules also offer the benefits of the full digital PWM control and internal monitoring architecture.
