One of the big benefits of digital is its ability to leverage the digital core to handle multiple channels, so almost 90% of what is put in to the PowerXR products would have to go in if it was a single channel controller versus a four channel controller. To make their product very cost effective against an analog design, MaxLinear is offering four channel and three channel parts. Now the analog section requires multiple modulators, multiple amplifiers, all of those are reduced and there is a single engine inside the PowerXR product.
