This example illustrates the differences between three different fan selections for a given operating point. As in the last slide, the different fan selections represent three different fan types: axials, backward curved impellers and forward curved centrifugal blowers. Two of the three selections meet or even exceed the target operating point. As shown, the power consumption and noise for the various options differ dramatically. This example emphasizes the importance of choosing the correct fan type for the operating point.
