CW IDC part numbers are broken down by type and series as outlined in the table shown on this slide. The first three digits indicate that it is a CW Connector such as CWN or CWR. The second three digits indicate the type of connector. For example a CWR-210 is a socket connector with strain relief. The next two digits indicate the number of contacts. And the last three digits indicate plating. For example, CWR-210-10-0021 is a socket connector with strain relief with ten contacts plated in 30µ” of gold over 50µ” of nickel. A breakdown of the complete part numbering system is available on-line, in the CW connector catalog or the customer can call CW direct for assistance.
