The Board-to-Board connectors have been developed for coplanar (end-to-end) PCB connection which is very common in LED/Solid State Lighting fixtures. The one piece card edge connector is designed for 1.60mm thick PCBs and is used to daisy chain multiple LED boards together in series. The compact 2 piece (plug and receptacle) connector system has a 3 mm pitch, 3 mm height and 5.5 mm overall mated length to maximize miniaturization. They are also made from high temperature plastic to support automatic SMT reflow processing.
