The following are features and benefits for this family of synchronous buck regulators. The Silent Switcher architecture allows for faster switching frequency, zero dead-time design for better efficiency, reduced EMI, smaller solution size, and minimal external components required. The devices have a range of output current from 3A to 10A in compact packages as small as a 2mm by 2mm LQFN, making for very high power density as high as 1.5A per square mm. The proprietary fixed frequency peak current mode architecture enables fast line and load transient response, and minimal external components. The adjustable and wide frequency ranges optimize power stage component size versus efficiency, while clock synchronization is ideal for noise sensitive applications. The wide input and output voltage ranges allow for a variety of input sources and are ideal for high current, low voltage leading edge digital ICs. The LTC3307A, LTC3308A and LTC3309A are all pin compatible, allowing future drop-in designs at higher or lower current levels.
