The 97 Series connectors are made in two versions, crimp contact termination or solder contact termination. DigiKey currently only stocks the solder termination option which is indicated by the “3” in the shell style designator, for example 97-3102. Solder contacts are silver plated with pre-tinned solder cups. Optional gold over silver plating is also available in solder and crimp contacts. Accessories for the 97 series should be ordered with matching connector plating.
