Like the core-based current sensors, the customer can get help for the design of the coreless-based current sensors. Allegro has released a busbar tool as the one on the left. In this web application, the customer can then calculate the coupling factor of a busbar with the ACS37612 current sensor using a 3D magnetic model. Depending on the inputs, the tool will give the customer the maximum measurable current (up to 50kA), the busbar sensitivity (up to 4.3mV/A), the coupling factor (up to 850mG/A), the current density (up to 166.88A/mm2) and the effective airgap (up to 2.66mm).
