The three pressure measurement types include: differential, gauge, and absolute. Differential is the bidirectional pressure difference measured between two pressure sources. Gauge is unidirectional pressure measured relative to ambient pressure, represented in psig. Absolute is pressure measured relative to a vacuum, which is usually expressed in pounds per square inch absolute, psia.
