When building the PHM system, there are three major challenges. The first challenge is how to chose the high sampling data acquisition product and vibration sensors for measuring the data. The vibration signals are sensitive and dynamic. Therefore, high sampling rate data acquisition is required to monitor the rapid change. The second challenge is how to implement the machine learning and analyze vibration patterns to predict machine health. The third challenge is updating the alarm timing once there is any sign of an anomaly.
