What a Great Weekend at the KiCon Event Held at mHUB in Chicago

As one of DigiKey’s content curators for our maker space, I was asked to attend KiCon event at mHUB in Chicago April 26th & 27th 2019 (along with our internal Application Engineers who help create our library of parts, for layout and ordering, for KiCad).

What a great experience seeing all the engineers/project makers participating to connect on using the open source layout software! Several good talks were given to help enhance their knowledge to create.

We gave out components to help with creating and modifying the badge, given out at the event, for tinkering and learning from each other.

After getting involved and being at this event, I know my next project will involve using KiCad to create a simple IoT monitoring device for my sump pump.

My only regret at the event was that I could not attend all of the talks given and I am looking forward to reviewing all the videos posted after the event was over. 😊
