100G QSFP28 TXRX modules are designed for use in 100 Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fiber. They are compliant with the QSFP28MSA1 and IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE-SR42 and CAUI-42. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface.

Coherent introduces 25G ethernet optics for high speed data centers and drives definition of PAM4 optics technology during OFC 2016

Coherent used ECOC 2015 to show off the world’s first 100G QSFP28 SWDM4 module operating over multimode fibre. The demonstration showed a 100G SWDM link established between a pair of QSFP28 modules operating over standard duplex multimode fibres.

Coherent demonstrates 400G ethernet technology and previews CFP8 module supporting both single mode and multimode fiber at ECOC 2015.

Coherent is demonstrating versions of its 100GE QSFP28 SR4 and 25GE SFP28 SR transceivers interoperating without Forward Error Correction (FEC). These transceivers support links up to 30m on OM3 and 40m on OM4 fiber.

During OFC, Coherent will feature its SFP28 eSR (extended short reach) transceiver in a demonstration targeting 25G Ethernet data center applications.

Building on its industry-leading instrumentation technology, Coherent is also introducing upgraded software for the WaveAnalyzer™ 1500S High Resolution Optical Spectrum Analyzer.

Coherent is demonstrating its 25GE LR SFP28 transceivers enabling a 10 km link over single mode fiber at full data rate (25.78 Gb/s).

PAM4 is a modulation format that has been adopted by the Ethernet Standards for 50 Gb/s per lane signaling, and will become the building block for future 50GE, 100GE, 200GE and 400GE interconnects.
