SparkFun Teensy Prop Shields | Maker Minute

Teensy Prop Shields from SparkFun are made for making interactive light and sound effects on small, handheld props and wearable costumes. The Prop Shields are offered in two forms: the standard shield and the low-cost shield. The lower-cost is identical to the standard, minus the motion sensors . These little boards are just slightly longer than the Teensy 3.2, to allow space for mounting holes and connections for power, speaker, and LEDs. The creative potential of SparkFun’s Teensy Prop Shields stretches as far as your imagination; both shields include an audio amplifier, fast LED driver, and an 8MB Flash memory , so your props and costumes can have sound, lights and pre-loaded effects.
