Sparkfun Papa Soundie | DigiKey Daily
Sparkfun offers their Papa Soundie, which is an audio playback device with the ability to decode OGG Vorbis and WAV type files. With a micro-SD card for sound storage and a built-in ATmega328P programmed with Arduino, users can add custom sound effects to their projects with less hardware and in a familiar programming environment. Up to 32 files can be played from the micro-SD card. Additionally, this board, which is the upgraded version of the Little Soundie, allows users to interact with the board with more customizable options. The board features 2 analog input pins and 7 digital pins, which includes three PWM pins, SPI and I2C communication pins for easily controlling the audio playback using sensors and other inputs.
