Pimoroni Keybow | DigiKey Daily
Pimoroni presents their Keybow, which is an easy-to-build, solderless, do-it-yourself mini mechanical keyboard. This Raspberry Pi-powered keyboard kit includes a Raspberry Pi Zero, a Keybow PCB, a switch plate, twelve illuminated Kailh speed switches and clear keycaps, an acrylic baseplate, and a micro-USB cable. It uses the Zero's USB human interface device gadget mode so that it appears as a real keyboard when plugged into your computer. Typical applications include using it as a hotkey pad for programs like Adobe Lightroom, or using it as a custom games controller, to trigger clips, tracks, or effects in Ableton Live, or to paste frequently-used text or code snippets. And because all key and lighting customization is stored on the device, it's completely portable.
