NXP offers their i.MX 7ULP family of processors, which represents their latest achievement in ultra-low-power processing for use cases demanding long battery life. This series is built upon the heterogeneous asymmetric architecture utilizing both the Arm Cortex-A7 and Cortex-M4 cores with separate isolated domains. This architecture provides the ultimate flexibility for customers by enabling a single-chip solution that can run sophisticated operating systems and provide real-time responsiveness. Other features include 3D and 2D graphics processing units, an LPDDR2 and LPDDR3 memory interface, numerous interfaces, such as WLAN, Bluetooth, and camera sensors for connecting peripherals, and it’s supported by NXP's companion power management ICs. Applications include smart home controls, wearables, portable healthcare and patient monitoring, building automation, IoT edge solutions, and more.
