New Product Discoveries Ep 403: M5 Stack & Allied Vision Alvium 1800 Series | DigiKey
In this video, Ashley introduces the latest additions to the M5 Stack development system and Allied Vision’s Alvium 1800 USB camera. M5 Stack creates products to fill the gap from development to end-product using modular, stackable development kits based on the ESP32 WiFi SoC. Latest additions include the Core2 reference hardware kit for the AWS IoT EduKit intended for learning how to build IoT applications, the CoreInk 200mm black and white e-ink display with buttons, buzzer, ports for expanded functionality, and a 390mAh LiPo battery for power. Another addition to M5 Stack is the UnitV AI Camera powered by the Kendryte K210 edge computing SoC with dual-core 64bit RISC-V CPU. Facial recognition and detection, object detection and classification, shape recognition, and so much more is possible with the UnitV AI Camera. Allied Vision’s Alvium 1800 USB Cameras utilize Alvium’s SoC to perform image corrections and preprocessing tasks onboard the camera as opposed to a host processor which aids in design innovation. The cameras are available in monochrome or color and provide features such as a micro-B USB 3.1 connector with screw locks, imaging of .5 megapixels, 115 frames per second, 808x608 resolution, 256KB ram, 1024Kb flash and various other benefits. This unique camera is perfect for applications such as machine vision, embedded, industrial, and more.
