Inside the box you’ll find the MAX22216 evaluation board, the Landungsbruecke interface board, and the Eselsbruecke bridge connector board. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/analog-devices-inc-maxim-integrated/MAX22216EVKIT/21777864 With up to 4 channels, the MAX22216 evaluation board provides several options for testing various modes of operation in half bridge and full bridge configurations. Features include SPI and OTP registers, digital IOs, a 2 level sequencer, plunger movement detection, power saving features, advanced diagnostics, and a complete set of protections. The main IO and digital supply connector enables easy connection to the Landungsbruecke controller board using the Eselsbruecke bridge connector. In this demonstration we’ll cycle a 12 volt solenoid on and off as we measure the current using Analog Device’s TMCL IDE. With the boards assembled, solenoid connected, and power supply on, open the TMCL IDE. Check active under general settings to allow configuration. Open the solenoid sequencer for the solenoid channel. Set DC_H to 12.00 volts and the control mode to VDR duty. Then open the rapid fire window and set the cycle times and number of repetitions and click start. Now open the current graph to take measurements as the solenoid is cycled on and off.
