Analog Devices - LTM4652 μModule® Regulator | First Look

The Analog Devices LTM4652 is a source, sink dual plus, minus 25 amp or single plus, minus 50 amp output switching mode step-down DC-to-DC micromodule regulator with plus, minute 1.5 percent total DC output error. Included in the package are the switching controllers, power MOSFETs, inductors and all supporting components. Operating from an input voltage range of 4.5 to 18 volts, the LTM4652 supports two outputs with an output voltage range of 0.6 to 7.5 volts, each set by a single external resistor. Its high efficiency design delivers up to plus, minus 25 amps continuous current for each output. Only a few input and output capacitors are needed. Adjustable control loop compensation allows for fast transient response to minimize output capacitance when powering FPGAs, ASICs, and processors. The LTM4652 includes a differential remote sense amplifier as well as an internal temperature monitor. Fault protection features include input and output overvoltage and bidirectional overcurrent protection and is offered in a 16 by 16 by 4.92 millimeter BGA package. The LTM4652 allows for multiphase parallel current sharing up to plus, minus 300 amps. All these features combined make the LTM4652 ideal for test and measurement instrumentation such as automated test equipment as well as telecom, networking, and industrial equipment.
