ADI’s ADM3065 RS-485 transceivers are half-duplex transceivers with robust ESD protection and support for data rates up to 50 Mbps, ideal for process control, motor control, fieldbus, and building automation. The bus pins of the ADM3065 offer ±12 kV IEC ESD protection without damage or latch-up to the device. The transceiver supports glitch-free hot swapping by using a pull-down circuit during the initial power-up sequence that ensures the driver and receiver are properly enabled. The receivers have a ¼ unit input load impedance, which allows designers to expand systems from the standard 32 transceivers up to 128 transceivers on a single bus.
